I live in Bangalore and have a BSNL Broad band connection with Type 2 Modem. My daughter has given us the Vonage VOIP from US with Motorola VT2442 Router to be routed through this Broad band connection. I am unable to get this connected. Can anyone help me out.Regards, Jayanthi Vijaykumar

please wait for netfreak's reply. he is using Vonage with BSNL ( or maybe MTNL ). He can definitely get you connected.

I have vonage router. Actually i fixed it to the Airtel .But i shifted the place here there is no Airtel, so i got BSNL broadband , but router is not working with the BSNL connection. Please give me any suggestion u have.

i have a Linksys router which I have connected to BSNL broadband. for the last 5-6 months it was working fine (although I could not make out-gping calls on my vonage line). but since last 15 days or so, I hava peculiar problem. My linksys router logs on to the network and after about 20 seconds automatically disconnects(my idle timeout is at 999 mins). can anyone tell me what problem I have?

@speedmaster. Welcome to Broadband forum.in
What is the model you are using? Modem from BSNL and Linksy's VOIP model ?
Hope linksy's Pap2 details help. to check configuration.

Para two :
Start/run type cmd type ipconfig/all . Check.
Or recheck the bsnl modem alone and see you are connected to Internet.

Hi essbebe. Thanks for the interest shown in my problem. As asked by youmy Vonage router is Linksys WRTP54G and my modem is Pronet PN-ADSL 101E/U. My plan is Unlimited plan. Also my internet works fine when I directly connect my modem to the PC. Please help me.

1.Since you said, it has worked earlier , at least for incoming calls, i don't want to suggest drastic resetting of modem and Linksys.
2.See No B given below.
3.Ensure DHCP is selected in your modem.
4.Keep modem "always on" mode.
5. Check Internet connection is Ok, with modem only. ( searching for modem details in my computer )
6. Please give feedback
