manu need to verify username and pass...
currently only one WAN connection made with 0/35, VPI/VCI.
still not getting connected.:)
some guidance essbebe.??
has an old account with bsnl...59.xxx.xxx.xxx

1. Post screen shot of your WAN page. stats2 is the setting to use. 2. All connections will show green but only ONE VPI/VCI is connected.3. If you have a Diagnostics page under "Advanced " check connection status there.4. Same similar data appears in MT 882 under Summary.5. Confirm you have only one acct with BSNL .

I have UtStarCom WA3002G4 modem, it doesnt have any Green status in web page :(

@superprash2003
Changed to 0/35 for PPOE
I tried all combinations (datone.in,datone etc etc)

nothing is working
But when I dial from PC it works..

What else I can do??

Update

I talked to one of the technicians here , he says it is a problem of the exchange :wall:. He says I cannot use PPPOE mode, because the exchange only supports bridge mode :O (is it even possible??)

Is there anyone working in BSNL who can help me out in this ???

Manu

@bossrulez Do not add @dataone.in or @ bsnl.in in WAN page user ID column.
Download this later. if needed.
UTSTARCOM WA3002-G1 MULTIUSER GUIDE FOR BSNL DATAONE USERS - India Broadband Wiki
Para two:
THE TECHNOLOGY INFO: How to configure PPPOE mode in UT300R2U, WA3002G4 adsl routers for BSNL DATAONE?
Click advanced setup. Then it will display Wide Area Network (WAN) Setup.

First row will display details about PPPOE protocol. At the end you will observe EDIT button.
Just click that button.
Then ATM PVC Configuration window will come. Just click NEXT.
Connection Type window will come. Now select PPP over Ethernet (PPPoE).
Then click NEXT.
Now enter your PPP username ( do not add @ bsnl.in)and PPP password which are given by BSNL.
Then click NEXT. NAT settings window will come. Just click NEXT(For UT300R2U model here Enable IGMP Multicast and WAN service window will come.
Just click NEXT).
Now WAN setup summary window will come.
Now click Save button.
WAN Setup window will come.
Click Save/Reboot button.
This completes the router settings for PPPOE mode. There is no need to enter DNS numbers.

Thanks esbee, but we already tried that. You can ask "Mac", he himself tried doing it..:)

I was under the impression that maybe the modem was faulty, but as I stated in the earlier post I called the technician who installed it and he says that PPPOE mode is not supported at exchange level :wall:. This am not sure because he may have said something to escape me

I have tried all other possible methods given in the forum and elsewhere, and everytime it fails in PPPOE mode, only works in bridged mode.He is telling it is working in other exchange just near to us

So finally I am also thinking what the techinician told is true, cos I dont think the modem is faulty

Also another part is that I am not able to check my datone usage :ashamed:, I asked the technician for the URL to check usage and he gave me - http://10.0.0.45:8080/ He said that it is not working today , probably tomarrow it will work.???

I have no idea what is going on, maybe the place(exchange) am in have a old server or something..I dont know
I have almost left my hopes on this :wall:

I need other help, I have some doubts on the UTSTARCOM WA3002G4 modem

[*]Can it be configured to act as a internal wireless network router(instead of having a seperate dedicated router)
[*]If it can , I have a Nokia N95- how can I share files from my PC to the mobile
[/list]Thanks for the help

@members/bossrulez/
Which is the town or city or State, is your location ?
I asked you to post screen shot the WAN page where you enter ID password etc.
sometimes a small mistake is overlooked and again and again , and we meet failure.
Para two:
1.If you are an old DATAONE user with ID xxxx @ dataone . in check your usage here. http://10.240.0.195/webLogin.jsp

2.If you are a new user with ID xxxxx @ bsnl.in did you get a 14digit portal Id from Bsnl/Exchange ?
Then you check your usage here ===>>>BSNL - Broadband Account Management
3.Dataone WebMail for checking email and usage old acct.
Para three;
Your N95 problem already there is a thread , and reported working ok
Just type N95 in tags and see the threads.
Do you use a desktop or Laptop ? Either case they should have a Wireless lAn adaptor fitted. Also did you get a small wireless card to insert in your UTstar modem ? I presume it is same like the other old models.

Ok I will try searching for that , just want to know whether I can use the Modem as a router (if so how to do it) :)

Dear all, Hello!
I just Buyed this Type IV Modem From BSNL - UTStarCom WA3002G4 :)
The modem is really nice, It comes with Wifi, and 4 Ethernet ports.

Apart from sharing Broadband via Wifi and Ethernet, We can also use it as lan Switch to share files on Ethernet and WiFi!
The range extends to all of my house (2000 SqFt Dual floor).

This is exactly what I want, how to share files using UTStarCom WA3002G4 (I mean use the modem as a lan switch )

I have almost left hopes for the PPPOE mode now any way, but any help to make the modem work as a lan switch is appreciated :)
