Yup ,I'm not on BSNL ,but It looks 500 Plan is much better than 900 UL .It's really unfair for the MTNL users to get low download limit ,where for the same amount BSNL users are getting more .
Home 500 is the best for now. If you are downloading huge Megs and Gigs then you can schedule them bet 2AM-8AM. The speeds are awesome.
Speeds are >200KB/s (sometimes varies) in Home 500 and bet 28-30KB/s in UL
You can download 1G in about 75-80 mins
It takes 10 hours to 10.5 hours to download the same on UL
I prefer Home 500
is this the case every night? is this the case with everyone using the Home 500 plan?
If you want to download a LOT of data in a short time then HOME 500 is the best. And if you are a careless person (for passwords & 2.5gb data limit) then UL 900 is best for you.
starting today, i have the home 500 plan.. switched from the home ul900 plan because :1) never going to be a speed increase in that plan2) got tired of waiting3) BIG saving on power bills4) Cheaper rental (almost half)you can schedule your downloads and download much more at night than you would be able to in the entire day + night with the ul 900 connection
can we change to other plan at any day or only at begiging of month?in Faqs section of bsnl it is like that"22 Q : Can I change from one Broadband data rate to another? A : Yes, You can change your DataOne plan at any time "
