Should TRAI set minimum speeds for 2G/EDGE/3G/4G?

CDMA phone is still a major drawback. Not to mention inability to receive calls on 1X in some circles (Delhi not being one of them).

Stellar network though.

Now a good number of imported android phones are available on ebay in all range. Even with dual capability gsm/CDMA on the single slot.
I am personally using moto droid maxx, it can be used on either network, one at a time.

But data on imported CDMA phones is always an issue right? Some say regru series sim will work, some day reu series SIM will work. I mean even we have to be careful in selecting CDMA SIM for data in CDMA phones [imported]. And when system updates come, the possibility of losing data is always there AFAIK..

actually all is well, till RCom [or persons behind them] became greedy and stopped meid registration for the masses...

RCom is prime example of why we need minimum speed regulation on Mobile internet. Reliance Pro 3 etc claim super high internet speeds. But if you read their reviews they don't even provide a fraction of it. How many customers really get stable 14.7 Mbps speed on Pro 3? Many people don't even get 10% of this speed.

Well when the persons behind MEID reg did all the hard work, should they not reap the benefit?
When they allowed every one to use MEID register process it was commercially exploited by all.

The existing process was not very straightforward and that is what led to its commercial exploitation, tbh.
