Hello All, I have a BSNL Broadband conection. The modem is SIEMENS C2110. The problem is that when ever I pick the receiver to recieve a call, the broadband gets disconnected. It is the same when I lift the receiver to make a call. I logged a complaint with BSNL. BSNL has done the following so far: - 1. Checked if there is a parallel connection - NO parallel connection2. Replaced the Splitter3. Changed the cabling from my home to the Telephone pole4. Changed the receiver set.5. Upgraded the firmaware of the firmware. (Current - V55.1.04.02) But all the above steps could not resolve the issue. To add to my woes, after the firmware upgrdation, the link light is not stable at all. It blinks as DATA. If the light is stable, then there is no data transfer. (Weird) Does the modem have a known issue. Is the modem bad and do I need to have it replaced?Anyone..can you help me?

Suggestion 2 : Changed the receiver set.
In this forum a local make telephone was recommended.
Suggestion 3 : If you are using Cordless Phone relocate it away from the modem/computer.
Suggestion 4: Disable Wireless network. ( if available. )
Suggestion 5. Upgraded the firmaware of the firmware. (Current - V55.1.04.02)
better to replace the modem ! Please give details of the firmware update site, if not from BSNL site.

also read the 10thpost(i think)on the thread for firmware update provided by essbebe.after updating you may not be able to configure the modem in bridge mode by normal means.you have to follow a relatively more complex procedure.

@patro see below ;
You are free to try or reject any suggestion made by me ( specially mine !)or others in this forum. May be Suggestion 5 will work !
No problem at all.As you know, unless someone having the same modem responds
others try to help by giving suggestions/ideas/links etc. Some mistake could be pointed out and taken in the right spirit. I don't have this modem.

@whitestar_999. Thanks for the caution. In the Vinu Thomas reference quoted see Page 2 :seems to have solved the problem after FW update.
Procedure is routine , except to delete all existing VPI/VCI entries.
