Recently got auto-updated to Sify version 2.8. Guess what my Outlook in my office LAN stopped working. Its a problem with some setting in my LAPTOP which the update automatically did.

Nothing to do with my Exchange Mailbox as it is accessible with the other system not having Sify Client.

I am quite anovice & thought you could help,

I recommend you to either use EasySify or Supersify

making u'r bband.ini file read-only does work. You also need to delete the whole line in
the file containing the update url. i still use version 2.5, without being forced to update to ever-increasing size of the bloatware that is the crappy client.
