Sify Broadband Sucks

omg! guess im late! I wonder why this thread is not locked yet

Anyway, it was fun reading 8 dreaded pages of this hilarious battle with a petty sify officer who really seems to have migrated from Mars to Earth recently :P

Although, my fellow forumer's here have made their point well, I too would like to tell my experiences and opinion, and then criticize Mr. Sify Officer's lame posts.

Don't worry Sify Officer, I am not going to talk "negative" about Sify. Instead I'll talk positively about my broadband connection provided by Airtel, which will definitely prove to you why Sify cannot be counted in the candidates which would grab India's No.1 ISP's badge.

Reasons (with full proof) Why Airtel can be called the No.1 ISP in India
(Only its Salient Features)
[*]Uninterrupted 24x7 Broadband Connection
Airtel's DSL Internet service has earned my respect by it's 24x7 continuous uptime. No server outage, no fuss, no waste of phone calls and time in calling the Customer Care every now and then complaining about disconnections. And this is how an ISP should be! Safe, Secure, Reliable, available whenever you need!
Proof
i. My personal experience
ii. Every Airtel User's personal experience
iii. I am running an FTP Server on My Connection, and you can setup a script on your system to ping me whole day and see for yourself. Seriously, I have no problem if you want to do that. Server host:aitserver.cjb.net

[*]Dedicated Bandwidth
When you buy a 64k Plan from Airtel, then you can rest @$$ured that you WILL get 7-8 KB/s download and 7-8 KB/s upload speed the whole month. Bandwidth allocation is very strict, and your speed won't go even a bps higher or lower than your allocated bandwidth limit. And that's the way it should really be! They even keep their commitments on guard by saying that speed will vary from 32kbps to 64kbps in a 64k plan as it is shared between 2 users. They are just too honest! Web Browsing is a luxury with an Airtel Connection because of very high "BURST" speed ( i hope you know what that is ). One more thing, here, you don't have to change IPs to maintain good speed.
Proof
I have a 512k connection and I am very satisfied with their service. I get transfer rates of 54 KB/s - 63 KB/s download and upload... so u may add that up to 126 KB/s since Sify's cable connection does'nt provide dedicated upstream and downstream bandwidth.
[*]Prompt and Helpful Customer Care And Technical Support
The CC Executives "feel happy" to be of your service whenever you need help. And "they know" what they are talking about. Talk to the Technical Department to solve any connectivity problem. Get your plan changed within 6 hours. Get your modem replaced within 1 days. Quick installation and upgradation. No fuss, No Headache, Quick Response!
Proof
I have had a lot of trouble with the cheap YOZAN DSL modem I had been given by Airtel. That problem has been discussed on this forum too (here). I searched the net, called CC, but to no avail. I ultimately decided to change the modem to the USB one. But the Technician who came home told me about the solution to that problem, so did'nt do that. They are very professional and "behave" as a true ISP.
[*]High Standards and Professional Service
They stick to best connection standards, provide best routers, have well configured servers and a high standard network! They won't "bug" you with irritating dialers, login software, etc. They don't force you to use their own Antivirus Software. They allow connections through all ports (yes, IRC & News too). The Modem is compatible with any OS, any machine architecture.
[*]Competitive Rate Plans
Firstly, Airtel's Rates are currently under revision. Secondly, even the current rate plans knock out any competition from BSNL, Sify, or other ISPs if you keep one fact into consideration - They are Honest ! You can keep my promise that will provide service exactly according to the rate plan subscribed by you.

[*]An Honest Policy
Airtel is honest! Believe me! You are very unlucky if you are ever cheated by this company! Their plans, their bandwidth caps, data transfer limits are "very transparent" and there are no hidden specs! If you subscribe to a 64k Unlimted Plan, then you can download as much as you want in the whole month. No per day speed / transfer limit. I transfer many gigabytes of data the whole month and never ever received any phone call from Airtel. So you get what you pay for!
[/list]EVEN NOW, DO YOU THINK SIFY IS THE NO.1 ISP IN INDIA?
Well, then I may attack all your posts Mr. Sify Officer, and criticize each one of them (because none of them are true nor do they make sense), but it is simply pointless and waste of my and everybody else's time.

A critical @n@1ysis of your previous posts clearly shows how big a liar you are. So, STOP MISGUIDING people and get on with your life !(if you have one). And you were definitely out of your mind (if you have one), when you were trying to threat the moderators of the forum.

I only "insist" that you take back your statement that Sify Broadband was/is/will become the No.1 ISP of India, because now you have reached the limit, and you're sounding like a cheap sales executive of Sify, begging and crying to the world to save Sify from dieing in shame

And if you still don't understand what we are saying then I seriously think you are suffering from one of these problems (or disorders :P) :
-Narrow-mindedness
-Lack of basic intellect
-Inadequate knowledge
-Feeble-mindedness
-Absence of a brain altogether

Not just yet. The fun is only beginning..... We don't want to kick him, we are rational beings showing him the folly of his ways and existence.:lol:And I agree about what angad says - X kbps = X kbps on airtel. They never CHANGE x into y no matter what the f*ck you are downloading.

This guy Sify Officer, is nothing but a troll (defined as this ) saying incorrect and senseless things.

Did nebody tried new 10 hours unlimited 256kb account . Seems good and gives abt 30 KB dload mostly :) . On sify service is good ONLY IF ur cto is good or its just little worst then crap :)

Yeah, unless we spend Rs. 2-3 lakh or whatever it costs to install a personal Subscriber Unit, it will be pretty much crap under many, if not most, of the CTOs out there :P

I dont mind admittin tht atleast in my area i get good sify service as well as speeds on my night pack

The sify users with 32,64kbps connections if are still getting slow speeds (2-3KB/s)or not able to connect to net try changing only gateways not IP,like if your IP is 10.21.199.xxxand gateway is 10.21.199.1u can change the gateway to 10.21.137.1(existing in the network) or to any othergateway existing in the network.
