Are you on 2.2 or 2.3? I think it uses the native android voice library so should work better on newer versions.Try the default android voice search and see if it recognizes your voice.

I am on 2.3.3 . Even the default Google search is not recognising me. Bad.

Yes you generally have to speak slow as it may fail to differentiate words in our normal, fast accent. In my normal accent, I once saved a note saying, "Don't forget to eat your dinner", but the app recognized it as, "Don't fu()k it eat your dinner".

Now I said, "I have a fever", which it recognised well,
and said, "I can update your Facebook status if you have an account. If you want me to do that, just ask"
So I said, "update", again recognised correctly
However, it said "Here is my page in Android Market. Now tap "update" and wait for a couple of minutes" It took me to the app's update page
