look into buying a dehumidifier. i spend most of my time in the basement and humidity is a big issue here. dehumidifier has worked very well in controlling that musty odor.

Dehumidifier don’t really work well in Mumbai, if you have an AC try the “dry mode” if you don’t want cooling. An inverter AC in dry mode often uses significantly less electricity than a dehumidifier.
