Hi guys Can ya plz confirm if this new Software/Firmware update is for Tata Sky Plus HD also...2ndly can ya tell what changes you have seen in this new Software/Firmware...Finally can ya plz send some snapshots of new User-interface...Thanks in advance..

^ As far as I can see, the 'upgrade' is basically the same software as the Plus HD box already has. The regular HD box had a different GUI and now I guess they are both the same.

Woohoo!!

No more low sound on HD channels. The HD channels have same volume as other channels.

My HD digicomp updated the sw automatically (SW date now says 17th March 2011) and new UI has fade effect. Channel switching felt slower though.

The SD box had the same UI even after updating manually i.e. back back 2465.

Guys. I think The sound is now great because its no more 5.1 after the software update. any one with old software can you confirm that you are getting 5.1 audio for HD channels? I am getting only 2.1 since yesterday.

Its 5.1 in TS HD. But after the software update the bug from TS + HD is passed to TS HD as well. Now one shud connect via coaxial cable to get Dolby Digital

Even the Tata Sky technician advised to use (un-officially) a co-axial cable to get a 5.1.

Yes, what you mentioned is correct. They have brought the software for both the STB at par. Even I have HD and yes it shows + HD. Simply amazing product and Asli HD is speechless.

The new menu's are great to see. But they have screwed up the existing Favorites functionality. Favorites work differently now.
