Some sites open, while some wont.

Call 1957 and say that you are having problem in opening some sites.

Call 1957 - BSNL Servers , And Tell them your problem...

I have a doubt. People from any state can call that number ?

Even I have started facing this problem since today afternoon But torrent is working fine.

I had a problem similar last month, couldn't open some sites eg. yahoo. Later on I remembered that I had changed the mtu setting before this problem happened. When I set it to default again the problem went away...

I don't know what mtu is. I never changed any settings ever. The phone guy set up my broadband in April and it was working perfectly except now with the complaint I've reported here.

Guys, i am also having the same problem. Some sites open while some dont and some pages or parts of websites dont open.. i inquired with all my friends using BSNL broadband in this area and all have the same problem (Goa). So i don't think it has anything to do with the settings or config in our PC's but the problem is on BSNL's side..their server's are acting crazy maybe. But all this is really driving me nuts :wall:

Griss46: I agree with you. For me the problem started in November. I thought it was related to the double usage announced and hence extra load.Then for nearly one day, the server (for the 14-character usernames) was down. The problem became less for some days and is now back!I can't contact 1957 from my landline in Vasai. I'll try again today, working day, as well as 1500.

Just now as I am writing this, the same thing is continuing. In November some days were lost. At that time, no site could be opened. then it became ok for a few days, and now this. When I contact customercare, I don't get any help. :frown: This forum is opening.

Just 'phoned 1500 (Maharashtra & Goa). They are aware of the "problem". They claim it has been there since Friday.Now they should fix it!But it's better if all affected users 'phone and complain!
