This is a really messy notification.

Important information about your credit card payment options

Basically... Third party apps are working. But BBPS requires us to use BBPS. So we are working on supporting it. So third party apps would no longer work for the time being for credit card payments? Assholes could just offer UPI based payment like ICICI. But nope.

Dear Valued Client,
Thank you for banking with Standard Chartered Bank.
As you are aware there are multiple methods to make a payment towards your outstanding credit card balance.
One of these methods is through the use of third-party apps like (but not limited to) PhonePe, Google Pay, CRED, Amazon Pay, Paytm and more.
To comply with the recent guidelines issued by Bharat Bill Pay System (BBPS), the Bank is in the process of enabling payments through third-party apps.
In the interim, we would like to inform you that your Standard Chartered Bank credit card payment through such platforms may no longer be supported.

However, you can continue to use any of the following convenient methods to make your monthly payments:
1. Pay from your Standard Chartered Bank Account
• Log in to Online Banking or SC Mobile app and click on ‘Payments’ to pay your credit card dues.
2. Pay from another bank account
• Bill Desk, click here
• NEFT/ITBF payment
• NACH registration and payment
• Cheque/Demand Draft payment
3. Cash deposit at Standard Chartered Bank branches.
If you have any query or need assistance, please feel free to reach out to us here.
Assuring you of our best service always.
Yours sincerely,
Standard Chartered Bank
