But, I am going to stick with paper ones. Because they make it very hard for me to get my hands on previous statements.

To the bank...

I would switch to e-statements the day you let me access all my past bank statements online. 90 days only policy is EVIL, NASTY and distasteful.

going green is good I too have unsubscribed for paper statements with ICICI bank and there is no such 90 days limit.standard chartered gone mad ?

You can always keep a pdf copy of the statements. I do this for my HSBC & ICICI credit cards.

i can do that. i can also start logging all the transactions manually in a log book. i think we moved away from passbooks for a good reason. this was it. having an online account on their service means i should have access to my own personal bank account. if icici can do that, why can't standard chartered? 90 days... wtf. i can still access 2-3-4 years old bank statements on my icici bank account online.

standard chartered has been pretty awesome for me except for the online statement access problem. i have had bad experience dealing with both icici and hdfc.

HSBC is not that bad either, I have been using there credit card from last 2 year..and till today absolutely no problem (Touch wood):D

Online banking extended to the use of debit card this will be of great help at the same time it may be risky.

any standard chartered customer here?

can you login to your account on their website right now?
