No good news at all still from both DTH operators. waiting for 15th july as espn officials said that they r hopeful of getting on dth by 15. BTW i am happy with all the members efforts here to call CC . i will start doing it too. I sent them mail last week but still no reply from them.

I think guys we are just playing with our emotions by just hoping that someday Star Cricket will arrives onto our TV sets which is currently ruled by either Tata Sky or Dish TV, actually they have no interest in the welfare of their customers, they just want to make money out of money by having as many new customers as they can as soon as possbile. Tata Sky is continuing making all of us extremely angry by adding one more crap channel i.e. TV9 - Kannada to its regional bouquet at the cost of some good channels like ETC, Zee Music, Zee Classic, Zee Smile, etc, which they people foolishly think that it would surely help them to have more n more customers from the southern region who watch these kinds of stupid channels. They didnt even fufilled their promises of launching out their own tata music channels which they still show in the tata sky help channel, but they removed the information about the to be launched music channels from their official site & when i contacted customer care regarding this, they told me that those channels might not be launched, what is this yaar, they have no proper plans in running out their services. I believe Tata Sky is now more of interested in making new connections irrespective of knowing the fact that their old customers who have had at some time trusted tata sky to buy this service might loose out in a very big amount at someday. They r continuing started off new offers to attract a customer to buy out their connection, the latest example is their new offer called " 1pe3 or 2pe5 offer". I strongly recommend people not to go for this stupid DTH service, who dont know how to have a proper bonding between the customers & the service providers, their policy is to have new customers while at the same time forgetting their old customers.

mr.aju sorry for the late reply... iam with scv frm oct 2006. so far no probs regarding the stb's. i heard they replace or service it properly.

so dont know anything on that regard. i thought of moving to tata. but it seems its also the same..

so regarding star cricket, do u have any info when we are getting that channel in scv
Hey Sudarshan their office is in the mid of Kodambakkam bridge. I spoke to them they told me that star cricket is not available with them as now it will atleast one more week for them. He told that to get a new STB we need to pay 2400 + 400(tax) + 300 ( smart card). For you the bad news is Hathway CAble in chennai started to provide the feed from today. You could go for Tata Sky but wait for some time but you need to pay more than what you pay now. You wait atleast for a year. Then you decide.

YEsterday i Spoke to ESPN office in chennai, he told me that HAthway will provide the channel from today but as for as SCV is concerned he told me that its may not come on time as SCV are not interested in the channel.

Well. I think if dishtv had not added those few channels which it added last few months such as Sahara,ndtvprofit,raj channels then it would have bought Star cricket by now. but now it may not have enough money to bring it and r :wall: about how to bring and what to do with the package rates etc.

I have posted the below content in the ESPN star cricket forum. Lets see whether we get any update on this from them...The shameful part of ESS is that, they start discussions with all cable service providers only after starting broadcasting the programmes... All the deals should be finalised before the first program launch... thats the real professionalism expected from this so called big leader of sports.....---------------------------------------------------HiAs we all know that ESS has launched the new cricket channel called Star Cricket. and they started broadcasting the indian warmup matches.Iam really surprised whether somebody is getting this channel by any means like through Free to air / cas / DTH etc.,We are not getting any sorts of info either from Espn or from dth providers like Tata Sky when it actually gets visible to viewers eyes...It really shocking that espn discussion is going on with all types of cale service providers for negotiating the rights for star cricket.. after starting the channel service...? Nowadays indian cricket tv viewing is far from usage as, whenever there is a new indian series starts, either ther broadcast rights goes to a non available channel and they start charging for it or they wil start a new channel to make more money.... Commercialisation to core..and exploiting Public's weakness that whatever they do, people will pay for it because of the cricket craze we have.. Guys please dont make 25 calls a day and wate time in speaking with the CC of TataSky make 5 - 10 Calls and leave it. I bet you Star Cricket is just another Cricket channel where we would be interested in Live matches. It will come on board but we need to put some presurre to the CC so that they feel the pressure of loosing sales call and go to their Manager. Definetly TataSky will provide as they did for Neo Sports guys. Dont worry but keep the pressure on the CC of TataSky atleast make 5 calls. Till now i have made 3 calls.

We have to be optimistic that channel will come by 15 or 19
