it is my friend who is using scv... he was the one who suggested me tata..
he is facing a lot of trouble wit changes in the bouquet... He pays 350 (gets almost all the channels).. but the problem is that he gets the channl he has selected while the opposite house gets all channels for exactly the same rate... moreover he is not able to view the FTA channels on the box... Evn after 100's of complaints this problem is not rectified... The signal quality is just better than FTA too... Wait for 19th then make a decision..

What will you do kunal if we dont get star cricket in Tata Sky. I know that they will provide us the channel? but what will happen in the future for any addition of channel, we need to beg them like the beggars. Ultimately at the end of the day even the beggars get what they want bue we dont. I think in chennai we should have gone with CAS. Where we could the following channels:

I think Tata Sky are not adding Star cricket because they dont want (both Espn and tata) piracy from cable operators.They will add it just before match to avoid the piracy.

I had just talked to Tata Sky CC , and inquired about star cricket , she apologied and said for meantime it will not be available on tatasky. when i asked her whether we will be able to watch test on july she answered in negative .

I donot think they will add channel, as ODI will be on DD , and India matches of 20-20 world cup will be again on DD .

But are we paying these bloody idoit , fraud tatasky for watching match on DD .:madness::madness::madness::madness::madness::madness::madness::madness::madness::madness:

I thank mty lady luck that I opted for Dish tv than Tata Sky. Star cricket has been tested and is going to star finally from tuesday. I just read this news in economic times regarding the availability of star cricket on Tata sky. Its a shame that whatever replies you guys got from CC tatasky was not wrong. Because these idiots at high level still felt that the matches are going to be shown on star sports. Its utterly shameful..her is the article for you guys.

NEW DELHI | MUMBAI: With just two days left for the first India-England Test, there is uncertainty about how many cricket fans would be able to catch the action. Star Cricket is not yet available on Tata Sky DTH platform. Many consumers in non-CAS markets, too, might not be able to watch the action as several cable operators have not reached any agreement with the broadcaster.

CAS subscribers may, however, be luckier, thanks to the latest TDSAT directive that the channel be aired in the CAS-notified areas of the three metros. While InCablenet reached an agreement with the channel, Hathway and Zee-owned Wire & Wireless (WWIL) are still in talks.Dish TV will begin showing Star Cricket from Tuesday on its DTH platform.

The bone of contention is the high price the channel is demanding. According to sources in the cable TV industry, the channel has been priced at Rs 28 in non-CAS areas.

Tata Sky’s spokesperson said the company was still in negotiations and added, “The forthcoming cricket matches were expected to be featured on the two existing channels, but now we are informed that Star Cricket, which is also a pay channel, will carry the same. Nevertheless, the one-day matches are available on the DD channel.” Arch rival Dish TV’s spokesperson confirmed the company had reached an agreement with the sports broadcaster.

Multi-system operators (MSOs) Hathway and WWIL are still in negotiations with ESPN. A Hathway spokesperson told ET, “We have yet to sort out our commercial differences, and negotiations are currently under way.” WWIL’s executive director Arvind Mohan said the negotiation are on with ESPN-Star Sports.
