Can We Take These Stupid Dth Provider To Consumer Courts For Not Providing Channel We Want Even When We Are Willing To Pay For The Content.
We can't. They have right to manage channels. We can't do anything.

Yeah, I know where your thought process is coming from. But, then the reply is authentic and coming from Dish Tv chaps only. The id is infact [email protected]. The reply was extremely straight and elaboratory. From what he wrote, it is clear that he was not beating around the bushes or stuff like that. The response came fast and timely and it can not be from anybody but dish tv clan only.
Well do you think Dish Tv people wrting such a English where there is no captial words and short wods.

When you get answer from Dish TV they will only give this:

We have no updates
This channel is not on our platform etc.

well i again made an call to scv today and asked abt star cricket.one lady picked up the phone said , they wud only know abt it on 18th ofthis month. what an crap answer. already the channel has been launched.match starts on 19th. they wud only on 18th.. shame.. its an democratic country and we dont get the channels we want. but we shud pay the amount properly for them. no accountablity.but they wud crap channels as fast as they can. chutti tv is one example.

Thats the main reason that i didnot go with SCV and i opted for Tata Sky but i still feel in chennai permanent resident SCV is better than DTH for the time being. FYI - HAthway has started the feed of Star Cricket in chennai:thumbsup:.

Even though i am using TataSky still i use the local cable of SCV for Sun Channels:wall:.

well do u have any idea whther u wud get star cricket in Tata Sky.regarding hathway in my area, they are not present.scv has the habit of cutting their cables due to business enmity. thats how they behave badly.. iam getting jealous that hathway is giving lol:frown::frown::frown::frown:

Yep star cricket is not coming in any platforms.Well, we all have already bombarded Tata Sky And Dishtv to the core, for not providing the channel. After heavy disappointment we enquired with ESPN office thinking that the channel launcher will help in getting the channel. But there also same bad results. Whoever launches the channel gets money... Whoever service providers gives the channel makes money. .. Its only the poor people suffer atlast , by paying money and by begging here and there and by wasting time speaking with these providers, without any outcome...These business people exploits the craze what we have for indian cricket...Indian Government should pass a law in the parliment stating that whenever indian cricket team goes for a away series, whoever owns the telecast rights for that series should ensure that every cable platform is getting that channel before the series starts and every indian is able to view it. regardsSuriya...

I was trying to reach Espn STar Gurgoan whole day either the number is finally i got in touch with dilip saran in gurgoan office (0124) 4147777-87. Boy i was very nervous in speaking to him he was asking all the questions to me who am i, name which dealer, which locality, my phone number but he was not revealing the information. He has asked me to contact the Tata Sky official or the prime dealer with whom i am getting Digcomp :hysterical: rather than calling ESPN. Then finally he revealed some information that the talks are on and added that he presumes the channel will be on board with TataSky on time but i dont know when that time will come :wall:.

To be honest i am not dying for the channel Star Cricket for me its just another channel but i wanted to fight out for the people in the forum. It doesnot mean that i am not interested in cricket rather i would say i am not interested in Indian cricket now a days thats the main reason i conveyed that i am not interested in Star Cricket channel as i am sure this channel will be on board at the max in a month time but i am really annoyed with TataSky management & Espn too. How they treat us. I am happy that atleast the government of india had passed an order to show all the oneday matches played by india any where in the globe. They dont think its we the customer who pay them. I want to give an example for any blockbuster movie any where in india especially in south india whether its Rajni, Kamal, Vijay movie for the first few there will be people who sell the tickets in black to the people. The black ticket sellers think that they are the prime minister. People will chase the blackticket seller till the time the public get the ticket or the hype of the movie is dimished after that no one will care for him till the next blockbuster movie its the same think with this Espn or Tatasky or Dish. Today we are running behind them for Star Cricket after a month we run for this neo sports, then for hollywood channels, and it goes soon. It happens only in india:wall:.

The Telecom Disputes Settlement Appellate Tribunal today stayed the notice issued by ESPN Star Sports to disconnect the MSOs in the Cas areas of Delhi and Mumbai, and has asked the sports brodcaster to reply within a fortnight. document.write("") The petitioners, WWIL and Hathway, who had filed the petitions on 10 July, have been asked to file their rejoinder two weeks after the ESPN reply and the matter will next come up for hearing on 27 August.
ESPN had issued the disconnection notice in the Cas areas on grounds of non-payment and non-disclosure of SMS details, insisting that the MSOs had merely given the total number of households, whereas the interconnect regulation requires them to file details of names and addresses of subscribers.

Star cricket will make money and recover their investment only if the operators opt and pay for it. Starsky must have quoted a price to the dth and cable operators. I think it is about Rs. 28 for the cas operators, who, for obvious reasons are not willing to pay or disclose their customer list. We do not know what is the price offered to dth operators; it has to be the same for both Tata Sky and dishtv. This is the negotiation phase and both sides will exert max pressure on the other. dth and cable operators also have to absorb the extra cost; will they do it or pass it on to the customers. How many of us will take it if it is to be ordered as showcase? Let us be patient. No operator can afford to blackout star cricket; star cricket also will not miss this opportunity to promote itself.
