My net banking is getting frequently locked. Seems some sort of password guessing attack.
I wrote to customer support. Their response is ' We request you to enter the correct credentials to avoid getting the account locked.' 😛

setting personalized user id was a mistake.

Faced a new issue. They have blocked NEFT > 2L between 7PM and 7AM.....

  • 7am to 7pm on RBI working day : The maximum amount of funds that can be transferred per day is as per the customer's TPT limit (Maximum upto Rs.50 Lakhs)
  • From 7pm - 7am on working days & all holidays (including 2nd & 4th Saturdays and Sundays) : A maximum of Rs.2.00 lacs per transaction can be transferred subject to TPT limit. (Multiples of Rs 2 Lacs upto the TPT limit chosen by the customer. Maximum upto Rs. 50 Lakh)
  • New Beneficiary addition (online): While adding a new beneficiary you can make transaction of maximum of Rs.50,000/- ( in full or parts inclusive of failed attempt ) during the first 24 hrs.

This isn't that bad. You can still make payments upto 50L

Why restrict 2L for single transaction after 7PM when you can do the same with multiple transactions.... The only sense it makes is that they want to exhaust your free transactions....

Actually I gave up after the first transaction only.... if I knew I would have transferred the balance in second transaction.

Never faced this issue with Yes Bank.

Because if larger amount is split into smaller amounts, then you will have chance to block your account if there is unauthorized transaction.

All the transactions done thru netbanking are anyways free.

I have kept 2 current accounts, one with Yes other with HDFC.... Have the lowest variant of HDFC current account.... which allows, I think 20 outgoing transactions (beyond that there are charges whether Online/ Cheque/ Cash) and unlimited incoming transactions.... I earlier had plan to close HDFC account but was expecting some VAT refunds in that account... After the refund came... Yes Bank became dicey, though their service is much better than HDFC. So for payments from customers I have kept HDFC and for other transactions I am using YES...

if HDFC gives unlimited transactions than I will close Yes Bank account.

I don't know the variant but even for regular current account, all online transactions are free.
