umm.. This seems to be a problem of either weak signals or the line is probablly absorbing a lot of noise. This happens if there is old line or the line is cut in many places. My suggestion is to get a new line layed, by BSNL. Also check if you are using splitter before line goes into your modem or not.

Same problem .. i hardly able to download more then 100 mb in my free hours. lots of complain registered but no one from bsnl listening. :madness:

check your modem/router status (snr valus ,crc errors etc. ) make sure about the line first.check your keep alive setting.Check your NIC properties (device manager-nic-properties-power management uncheck -let comp pwer off....

Hi, Today BSNL TECH ENGG. gus came to my house. they told me MT 882 is a low band width router. this problem may occur if the exchange is a old type switching exchange. although now its working . but it can work upto 2MBPS speed. Thats if ur roter config page show its 8 MBPs then this type of problem may occur. Asked to chng a new one ( recommended Netgear ).

Well i wont say the BSNL engineers are wrong. But MT882 is a very good modem. It supports downstream speeds of 26Mbps and upstream speed of 1Mbps. If your modem is getting synced at 8mbps, then your SNR will reduce. Maybe thats why u face connectivity problems.

Hey I have the same problem, my connection gets disconnected randomly, i think this is a flaw in home plan 500.
Im posting a screenshot of my modem configuration

i don't know much about modem configuration but your ADSL link speed in downstream is 8mbps which should not be there.instead it should be 2mbps(2048kbps).maybe this is why your SNR is 6.5(it must never be less than 10).

never mind i think i got the problem from screenshot of faraz1992.in your "Operation Mode" it is set to ADSL2+ which is wrong.for bsnl it must be "G.DMT"
