I was drinking "WELL" water since kid and it turned out hard water almost a decade ago. Then started having METRO water(without chlorine) till now. That too not safe to drink coz it contains an oily substance when the water gets settled.
Now i've planned to use "WELL" water.
What should i go for? RO or UV? Both available in single unit?

Well I was brought up on tap water as well. And I think we started with Zero-B before getting an Aquaguard unit. Then switched to some local RO Unit. Currently using some model from Aquaguard again. Not sure which 'technologies' it offers coz I was not at home when it was ordered.
But as a result, I tend to be scared of water whenever I am out of town. I prefer drinking soft drinks than 'filtered' or bottled water because food poisoning is a serious problem.

IMO, UV light in purifiers is used to kill microorganisms and can not convert Hard Water in to drinkable form. I believe that you will need RO to do the job.
In RO purifiers water passes through different stages before it is stored in the tank for human consumption and UV may be one of them (depending on the model you choose). IMO i think it is always better to get a unit with a UV purification stage.

I have a Kent Excel plus and am quite happy with it. Costed 15k almost two years back with a recurring maintenance cost of 3k each year. My model is placed under the kitchen platform with a tap on pf level. If you are going for a wall mount, Go for Pearl instead of Grand. Better aesthetics with same features and cost. All models mentioned above are UV+RO.
