Dear Crazy Sah, Power, and Friends,

As you all may know i have been having immense problems for more than 110 Days since the 27th of June with MTNL Triband Broadband with "Massive Dropping Speeds".

Some Posters on this Forum indicated to me in these links which i am posting that it might be a "Line Problem"
https://broadband.forum/mtnl-triband-broadband/16318-massive-download-speed-problems-triband-i-need-good-reliable-alternative/

https://broadband.forum/broadband-india/17331-please-advise-regarding-good-broadband-provider/

-- unfortunately it is not because after more than 10 Letters to the MTNL Authorities in Mumbai they sent a Linesman and a Junior MTNL Engineer to check things out a few days back.

They have indicated that there is no "Line Problem" at all rather it is a DSL Problem and the DSL Guys are not coordinating as well as cooperating well with the Linesmen in many parts of Mumbai.

The Junior Engineer even indirectly told me to change my Provider, but did not tell me what i should choose ??

So, I have no option but to change my Provider soon.

My Maximum speed for more than 110 Days has been 25.0 KB/Second and getting worse -- it is now fallling to 18 and even lower than that.

Which Provider can u strongly recommend ??

Tata or Reliance and if I choose Tata I would like to go for a Volume Based Plan like Business Plus 5000 if Infinity 512 UL is not available !!

I would appreciate some positive responses to this thread -- PLEASE !!!!

Thanks in advance,

Both TATA and Reliance are good if you have a Landline phone from them.Do they provide landlines in your area?

I vote for Airtel... I dunno how TATA is in the Northern part of the country but here in Southern states they are a bit lousy... BSNL is best and next comes Airtel. Airtel is the All India rank #?? ISP!! :P I don't wanna be flamed by other ISP users... :)

Dear Friends, Many Thanks for all of your messages and Feedback. Can anyone suggest a Specific Plan of Tata that is "Economical" and that allows me to download a lot in terms of MP3 Files ?? What would be better a Volume Based Plan or an Unlimited Plan ?? I am looking for an Economical Plan as well as one that allows me to download quite a bit !!I am not sure whether 512 kbps UL is still available in Mumbai ! Regards and Thanks again !!!!

A unlimited plan definately. I would suggest going for the infinity 512 plan. Or 256 UL plan is even good.

Dear Crazysah,

Many Thanks for your response to my query.

I am essentially interested only in a "Post - Paid Plan" from Tata preferably "The Infinity 512 UL plan or the Business Plus 5000 if Infinity 512 Plan UL is not available in my area in Mumbai.

The best part is that i have corresponded via email with CC but they have not indicated whether this Plan or the Business Plan that i am interested in is available in my area where i live in Mumbai :

I think they still are available but out of all the plans you listed... well Infinity 512 is the best plan unless you are willing to pay 3600 for 1Mbps plan?

I would suggest 2mbps hour based plan. For three months it is for 1922 Rupees. It offers 180hrs. of usage.
