I have quick power 180 plan and speeds are just awesome . There is a down time of atleast 1 day every month . First enquire if they provide Tata Indicom broadband over dsl and telephone line or a cat-5 cable comes at ur home and you use pppoe over it . In my case its cat-5 cable coming home and no telephone line involved and i have been more than happy with this connection . Instead of asking on forum ask someone who stays nearby you and is using TATA broadband , his suggestion would be best because as i have read on net many people have had horrific experiences with TATA . It would be best bet to ask someone in ur area about the connection ,no matter which one u decide to buy . Btw go for prepaid plans, u pay prepaid, all charges on website are MRP and u pay same rate so no hidden tax and stuff . I have also read many postpaid users having false billing problems . Prepaid plans strongly recommended :)

Well I have Tata in Bombay and my experience has been very poor. Repeated problems with connection, billing hassles, poor customer service etc. I would seriously recommend Airtel if it is available in your area.

I would suggest 2mbps hour based plan. For three months it is for 1922 Rupees. It offers 180hrs. of usage.

Dear Sandy,

Many Thanks for your reply. There is no one i know of in my immediate area/neighborhood. that has TT BB, hence the queries to you and others.

I have a question with regard to this 2 mbps Hour based plan. It only offers 180 hours of usage. That could all be used up in 1 month itself.

What does one do for the next 2 months if one uses up all the 180 hours in the first month itself ??

How is this 180 hours of usage calculated per week or per month ??

Is this a Prepaid Plan that u have or a Postpaid Plan ??

I am looking for a good Tata Plan preferably "Post paid or even Prepaid" that is economical and offers good value for money for 6 Months or 12 Months.

What is your opinion on Infinity 512 ??

Thanking you in Advance,

P.S.-- I have just changed my MTNL DSL Plan from 2399 to 599 but that too is giving me a lot of problems in terms of download speed and getting frequently disconnected.

The Maximum Download Speed I ever get now for the last 6 months and even in this month is 26 or 25.8 KBs/Sec and a Low of 20 KBS/Sec.

Sandy84,

Would it be possible for me and OK with u if i PM you with regard to Tata Broadband -- there are several things i need to know before i finally book a connection.

How much would a New Tata Connection cost since i currently have MTNL is my "Main Concern" specially if it is Post- Paid.

Thanking You in Advance,
