Tata Sky DTH now replacing MPEG2 STBs with MPEG4 STBs for free!

My relative in chennai has already got a call from TS regarding free replacement of STB. TS will contact again for fixing date and time.

I have multi connection. One is HD MPEG4 box and the secondary is MPEG2,
As the upgrade is free I responded with Y to 56633, I got auto response:

Thank you for your interest in upgrading to Tata Sky MPEG4 box. Our representative will be in touch with you shortly.

haven't got any such in Delhi and usually delete Tsky messages as they love to spam with SMS with all kinds of crap!

I am located in bangalore Karnataka. But I also received the SMS despite both of my stbs are being MPEG 4 compatible

As per my source TS is going to migrate 2 tamil channels - Adithya and polimer to MPEG 4 and might add Zee Tamil along with it...

They replaced my STB today. Opted for the'so-called' 1 month warranty box.
PIC quality/audio same as old mpeg2 box. But I see significant delay compared to the old box during channel surfing( ~2 seconds to get the picture)
