Hi guys,

A new software has been updated today, when i Switched on the TV, it automatically downloaded the software.

Digicomp s/w version is 20july 2009

The main changes Ive seen is that earlier when you get to any channel that is a part of Add-on package you would get the message as "to View this channel call the TS helpline..... " now after this upgrade. for eg: you go to ESPN and if you haven't subscribed to this channel, the screen comes up "ESPN is a part of Sports Platinum package and the details are given on how to subscribe and all" This is good software upgrade and I see that when Zee Gujarat was shut down is was not removed from the channels list, now it is completely removed

----------

And that applies to all the channels, that is in any addon pack or not in any Base pack:thumbsup:

Another major change is that the volume has come down a lot. I have to now raise my TV volumes to almost double the levels. Tata Sky rocks. They are contributing their bit to reduce sound polution.

If the listening volume level remains the same, how does the noise pollution come down? Noise pollution will vanish if you see english movies with mute and subtitles on!!

How i update my stb?
Any one help me.:bowtoyou:

STB will update automatically, but my STB did not updated yesterday.

TS may be doing this in time slots - unless the STB is on when software is aired, it may have to wait for the next slot.

hehe... I was just being sarcastic. Actually, I was finding it a pain to increase the volume each time I switched between Tata Sky and my DVD.

Yes, it is an eternal problem. Even the same video file played through windows media player or any other media player is not consistent as far as audio and video (brightness/contrast) are concerned. It appears there is no enforceable standard for audio frequency (20Hz to 20KHz) and loudness (40db whisper to 100db ear shattering thunder) spectrums.
