Tata Sky DTH: Suggestions and complaints here

. The old couple were advised by the dealer to take Tata Sky DTH for the excellent service provided and for the excellent quality of pictures. The young couple with a nuclear family chose Tata Sky DTH with mega pack after evaluating others for the variety of fare provided.

1) Dealers get higher commissions with Tata Sky.
2) Old couple may not have know much or else with a viewing patter of 80% Tamil channels who will take Tatasky which is much costlier than Sun direct and Dish tv and also has least number of Tamil channels?
3)Nuclear family didn't do their investigation properly as they will get many more channels even in Airtel than this. If possible please tell what is extrordinary in Tatasky to shell out more than other dth like Airtel.

3. People who calls them for Engineer visit, so they can charge 350


I qualify on both those counts. For the latter, I had the privilege of two such 'visits'. I still don't get any 'premium' service. Forget premium, the other day a lady at the customer care started shouting at me.
 
In the second week of this month I was in Chennai. In the building I stayed, two Tata Sky DTH new connections were installed. One was in the flat of a 70+ couple whose viewing pattern is 80:20 (tamil popular channels:english news). The second connection was in the flat of an early 30s, working couple with two kids. Both connections were from different dealers. The old couple were advised by the dealer to take Tata Sky DTH for the excellent service provided and for the excellent quality of pictures. The young couple with a nuclear family chose Tata Sky DTH with mega pack after evaluating others for the variety of fare provided.

Thats good because it proves that Tata Sky caters to every age group from young to the elderly :thumbsup:
 
Thats really unfortunate. Customer services people are not supposed to do it. I have called them so so many times and have never faced this. The Customer services people are so very nice and polite. Nor have i heard this from anyone I know. I am not doubting you, don't get me wrong. But I find all this a litle strange. Did you note down her name?
 
Yes, they make sure they screw everyone. Even in my apartment, there are lots of Tata Sky connections - on par with Dish, and most of the people with Tata Sky don't have any issues. Whenever I have reception issues, and I ask them if they are getting the channel, they say, "Oh is it, actually I am not watching TV". There you go, if people don't watch TV then it's not at all a problem. I guess that's what Tata Sky is trying to get people to do.
 
^ No I didn't. I was calling back a second time in 10 minutes on that day, since what the first rep told me didn't work out. And this lady, first of all kept cutting me mid way, and then once I spoke, she refused to believe what I said, nor would she transfer me back to the previous rep. After a while, she got all agitated and fired up. I shot a mail to the nodal officer, am still awaiting a response.

They talk different to their higherups and little different to customers. CC might have shouted if we ask questions like "Why I should pay this much for relocation etc.,."

6. People who uses Active Mall etc regularly

1. They do not have any good foreign channels like Fox, WB etc..
2. They do not have any adult channels

We can point out many like this...

Active matrimony.

They miss even many good regional channels. Adult channels they cannot as per our law. But no excuse for adding other good channels like Win tv :D

Well thats good to hear. In my house, TV viewing starts in the morning and goes on till night. I know how good is TS with its channel reception. Signal goes off in the rain or a hard cloud cover and thats obvious in DTH system.
May be you should give different example for how TS screws its customers. There are many I believe you know.
 
With this statement atleast people should realised that Tata Sky DTH wont worry for the those customers who are there in the bottom of the pyramid...........if still those who are at the bottom of the pyramid people buying Tata Sky DTH..........its customers fault who choose Tata Sky DTH.........

I accept your point that Buyers are at fault if they buy Tatasky anymore. But what about people who bought it earlier? What a worse statement by that vikram. Aren't bottom end of the pyramid not paying money? They too have rights and it is very bad on part of TS to talk like this. Pure nonsense.
