What is the Remote TV option in Tata Sky plus for?

Once it has enough nos. then TS+ can be hooked up with a phone line and the internal modem can be programmed to interact with TS+ website. This can also be done with any digital STB though, but with TS+ u can set recordings remotely by logging into the schedule and requesting for recordings remotely.
guess that be the thing. BTW u can check this on sky newzealand website Remote Record
and https://www.skytv.co.nz/Default.aspx?tabid=116

All this is future tech only possible if Indians are ready to shell out money for the conveniences, quality of service, and investment in R & D, but as we all know here in the forum, no one is ready to pay for good service because there is a similar but bad service available for lesser money :)

No use at present.

You have paid for the so called good service at present. Can you schedule recordings via internet? NO you can't. Then why we need to pay for something which isn't available?

can u point 5 differences and reasons why you like TS as a service?
Dont even compare Sky with Tatasky, this is India you cant expect more from them.

But they are joint venture:inodding:

So what. Standard isn't good. At present the things which Kumar Aravind put are not available in TS+. Misguiding members.

He must have tried it in his STB hence he is posting.

What a joke. If TS themselves has not given this service then how can he test it? He is just posting after searching the internet. You don't know anything other than blindly posting in support of TS and also making our posts going unnoticed. From your replies it is clear.

but hardware and investments differ for TS and SKY

There are still many people in india who are fooled with duplicate products, for example take Nirma there is another product named Nima, people think it as nirma and buy it and get fooled.
Only the Educated wont go blindly for a product thinking about it being the same as other
