If we don't pay the subscription u cannot watch any channels through Tata Sky not even free to FTA channels but it is not in the case of Dish TV. What if I don't pay the subscription for a month and start paying after sometime. Is there any penalty or something for restoring the connection again ?
These are all the facts that the Consumer must be aware of before taking a Connection.

well right now it is not possible to watch FTA channels from DD DTH with Dishtv as they are being retransmitted and hence blocked if you dont pay them , ( you cannot view only in case the dishtv boxes has new software and no option to add TPs).

And if you dont pay subscription for a month and wants it next month then there is no FINE these days. previously there was 100rs fine but not anymore.

Mr.Ronaldo, This is old news my friend, I think most of the people having TATA sky are aware of this. I feel there is nothing wrong in this policy, they can not copy what ever dish tv does.

Are you from Tata Sky? If you are can you please tell all of us When exactly will be the launch of Sun Bouquet of Channels. All of us are waiting thinking that it will be launched on 1st Sep 2007.

The policy of not allowing people to watch FTA channels by any DTH provider (Tata Sky as well as DISH TV) is wrong and should be taken to the TRAI or the Consumer Court, the reason being that we have already paid for the Hardware (STB only, the Dish on your terrace belongs to the DTH provider, they will take away the Dish once you disconnect the connection (read between the lines), that's why I said that the STBs should be interoparable. The choice should always remain with the Consumer. There is a penalty of more than Rs.100/- for not making the subscription for a month in DISH TV platform and I am not aware of TATA Sky.

If yoou dont pay the subscription amount on or before due date you will get a grace period of service for 3 days. In the 4th Day they will stop their service to you. If you recharge you account after 4th day they will reduce subscription amount for the 3 days grace period appx 29 rupees. In tatasky there is no fine.......:thumbsup:

Mr. Ronaldo, Iam not from Tata Sky, but iam feel TS is much better than Dish tv, My friend who has Dish says their CC is not very good and their response time is very bad, and the picture quality is no as good as TS. and every one has their opinion Mr. Ranaldo, Just by suporting TATA SKY one need be called the employee of TATA Sky. By the are you from DISH Tv Just kidding brother.

Well they have right to close their service. Who said Dish Tv user wouldn't able to watch FTA channels of DD direct+ and some Zee channels. My friend have new STB from March and he enjoyed channels since June. He didn't pay money to Dish TV since May and last 3 months he gets all DD channels and also 2 active services of Dish TV which FTA,
