i can see that. it sucks for the consumer. and shameful considering the government has been promoting cas and dth so much to get around the cable mafia (under pressure from the media giants who wants to get paid for each tv in a house for each of their channel even if the user watches it or not).

well they are already in the process of making STBs mandatory for cable connections!

Is twin cabling only required for HD PVR? I have multi-tv connection.. one with HD PVR and other one is PVR (Tata Sky plus).

It seems TS already started beaming signals using new transponder and some customers are facing issues in getting certain channels as there is only single wire running down and a splitter is used which is causing signal drop. Hence they are installing two cables for each PVR to solve this issue.

I faced a strange problem yesterday... The signal strength was good but i was able to view only SD channels and for HD channels it was stating no signal...this happened between 9 PM to 11.30 PM yesterday...in Chennai it ass very cloudy and windy through out the day... did any one else face the same problem...

As per Lyngsat, the satellite is still moving. God only knows when it will get parked in its designated slot. Tata Sky has a long way to go before it can start using Gsat 10 yet.
