The Moral Hazard of Settling with Vijay Mallya

This guy raises same point as I did that if they bargain with Mallya (for just 3% default). Others will ask same.

But he has one more valid point and question!

Mallya’s offer raises several other questions. If he is in a position to pay Rs 4,000 crore to banks why did he leave the country? Or why did he not pay the salaries of the employees of Kingfisher Airlines and leave them in a lurch?

Or does all this tell us that the former king of good times is simply buying time?

Wow this was fast! Happened within 2 days after ED asked for passport revocation.

Its not revoked but atleast suspended.

Now he says Government taking "the coercive tactics" and he also QUESTIONS court's non-bailable warrant!!

He also said that his three children - Siddartha, Leana and Tanya - were all US citizens!!

(indirectly hinting that India govt has no right of questioning them?)

This guy has planned and timed everything perfectly!
