Did a NEFT transfer and within 5 mins got message that amount credited, checked with friend and he confirmed it. 15 minutes later I get a message that amount "debited"

the amount will be obviously debited from your a/c, credited to your friend's

not to the same bank. Takes me a minute or two. ICICI.

Icici to icici is instant. They have a different option for that.

ok ya but even if different bank. it doesnt take hours. atleast in my experience.

It can take as much as a day based on the time of transaction.
