So are you saying that the retailers don't have to buy a specific amount in order to avail the discounted prices?

Ya fir ek ek piece par discount dete hai?
 
I guess that is why the margin is low, and these are all established brands. They don't need to give high margins to the retailers. And it makes sense now that people can actually buy things from malls just to save that amount.

I've generally been in contact with people dealing with bulk orders of high value products and the margin is quite significant on those. So had no idea about this area. Good information!
 


These brands give very fewer margins for general trade channels (Kirana stores). Whereas modern trade (supermarket chains) get double-digit margins which are sufficient for them to give offers.
 
Samosey lelo friends. I'm a bit surprised seeing the innovative ideas people have nowadays. They've next day delivery, so no tension of processing orders real-time or inventory.
