Retailers usually buy 6/12/24/48 pieces. Only the large ones get 1 case/box (usually 144/168 pieces). Case purchase of Lifebuoy gives a retailer around 2% more margin most of the time.
I guess that is why the margin is low, and these are all established brands. They don't need to give high margins to the retailers. And it makes sense now that people can actually buy things from malls just to save that amount.
I've generally been in contact with people dealing with bulk orders of high value products and the margin is quite significant on those. So had no idea about this area. Good information!
These brands give very fewer margins for general trade channels (Kirana stores). Whereas modern trade (supermarket chains) get double-digit margins which are sufficient for them to give offers.
Samosey lelo friends. I'm a bit surprised seeing the innovative ideas people have nowadays. They've next day delivery, so no tension of processing orders real-time or inventory.
Claims 45days shelf life ... i guess if kept frozen. But now if i compare this with other frozen items like itc masterchef, find this pricey.
Though it includes free next day shipping.
