and you are the one recommending a web based service to watch american television shows? a service that probably has no official connection with the owners of that content.

man, you need to think deep...

Piracy rules are followed much more strictly in the US and these sites would be taken down immediately by the FBI if they hosted any pirated content. I have seen scores of examples of content being removed "due to infringement". As to whether they have any official connection to the owners of their content, why don't you visit the site and see for yourself? Maybe they have, maybe they don't, but one thing is for sure, it wouldn't be there if it was illegal.

There was one movie site which had all it's content seized. This is what you would get when you tried visiting it.

Ahhh!!! We all know that uploading Porn is crime even though they are there at torrent sites . that too means its legal

Reliance and Tata are not blocking any of the sites mentioned in this thread except exdesi.com which is showing " connect time out " .

I just cross checked with a friend in Australia, even he cant access exdesi, so exdesi is down and not blocked for now ...

if the service operates from a country which does not bow down to the demands made by the US government. or it does not have a local body representing MPAA/RIAA... they cannot do much about it legally.

this is the reason why Pirate Bay survived for so long and their letters specifically states the same.

Oh wait, just kidding. We haven't, since the site in question is fully
legal. Unlike certain other countries, such as the one you're in, we have
sane copyright laws here. But we also have polar bears roaming the
streets and attacking people :-(.

TPB does not contribute a penny to the content creators. Same thing applies to torrents in India. if you think watching american shows online on some random website is morally correct, you really have no point to make against torrents.

----------

this is from the website you suggested:

TVL HAS TAKEN ALL RESONABLE MEASURES TO RESPECT THE LAWS OF SWEDEN WHERE TVL IS HOSTED AND THE LAWS OF ROMANIA WHERE THE COMPANY IS REGISTRERED( AS REQUESTED BY THE APPLICATION NORMS OF ROMANIAN LAW 365/2002, ARTICLE 11, PARAGRAPH 3) . ALTHOUGH NOT REQUIRED, WE HAVE TAKEN STEPS TO ADOPT THE DMCA PROTOCOL SO THAT CONTENT OWNERS MAY REQUEST REMOVAL OF MATERIAL THEY BELEIVE INFRINGES THEIR RIGHTS.

Sweden and Romania. This website would not exist if it was operating from UK or USA.

Can you list your ISP and the sites that are blocked and not blocked on your connection?
al of them are working here,
Beam- Hyderabad

So where's the illegality if content owners can request removal even if they do not have the legal grounds? Do you not see the difference between a pirated pre-release torrent and a latest movie available on say hindilinks4u? How many days since the release of murder2, it did what it could on the box office and now it's freely available for viewing. How can a pre-release pirated torrent of the same compare with it in the matter of ethics? It's you who needs to go a little deeper and not obfuscate the issue of morality between the two cases.

Just checked on my Reliance Netconnect + all sites are blocked, some sites like RS HF are accessible via HTTPS though, still no sign of blockage on BSNL 3G :)
