I got banned!
I was referring to PSU companies who are not really in telecom but seem to have some AGR dues again BIG bucks
Considering the 4g speeds i was getting with VIL ,i am not keen on porting . I have used both jio and airtel but both are just plain shit as compared to VIL here in kerala. I really hope they survives.@socrates nowdays all operators favor post paid to prepaid for their profitability and the lower chances of post paid customers to port out or let the account become dormant. I have 1 Jio prepaid number that I want to port out to Airtel prepaid just for a different network. All my connections are on Jio and it's not advisable to put all your eggs in basket IYKWIM. I am initiating the port out this month.
Airtel is now open to port out as is Jio not only for their own benefits but I believe the Govt./TRAI has already advised Airtel and Jio plus the portability companies to prepare for a deluge of customers from the dying VIL and accomodate to minimise customer inconvenience. Wish they'd think of customer inconvenience when it comes to their AGR demands!!
I would advise you to port out ASAP. There is simply no reason to stick with VIL whether it survives this death sentence or not. Even if it lives, VIL will be a compromised provider for the foreseeable future. Just port out all your important/primary contact #s. Should VIL ever regain its health you could port right back to them when the time is right.
