Experiencing the same issue throughout the whole day since last week... I used to be able to change the gateway by disconnecting and connecting in the Alphion ONT page to one with less latency (117.282.xx.xx and 59.xx.xx.xx) but now its not changing at all. I've tried to change it by the above method like 100 times already but its stuck on one gateway only. Very high latency with this new gateway (old ping of ~150ms has now become 300-500ms). BTW I'm connected directly to the ONT via the gigabit LAN port.

There's a severe failure in Bangalore and Chennai's NIB gateways. Both are responsible for connections from India to international servers. As per information I got from BSNL GM, Meghalaya.

He said they are upgrading equipment and bandwidth. Give it some time.

It started on 7th February 2020.

BSNL FTTH has been down since morning today in our city. Very high pings (over 350ms for 8.8.8.8) and over 30% packet loss.
Local NIB team has no idea when it would be resolved.

For the last 4 days I am getting less speed during day time (9am to 7pm). I am in a 50Mbps plan and gets around 55 Mbps (download & upload) during night to morning, but around 20Mbps during day. Is it a BSNL issue or LCO issue or what?

People in the forum where saying that BSNL has problems with thier gateway and the entire BSNL network is not stable.
So you might be facing that but it's best to check with your lco.

GM in my area told me the gateway problems will be resolved by next weekend.

But this is BSNL not AT&T. Expect it to be resolved in 30 days

@Dark_Nate yes you are right I can't attend Uacademy live classes though I am on bsnl adsl. Also twitter feeds are not loading nib also telling that they can't do anything even VPN also not working. Only Google products are loading correctly.
