I think Citibank is still to come on board? Plus ICICI has both @icici and @pockets. Though if one is blocked, the other becomes unusable. Some limitation I guess.

Now, I just need to reserve for SBI & I'm set.

does upi work on accounts which do not have online banking activated?

I think your bank accounts will only work on UPI with the mobile number registered with the bank which is part of the online banking activation....obviously for security reasons...even the request to registered the mobile number has to be done by submitting a form at the home branch.

PNB bank UPI app is "costly"

Everytime you logout and then when you login it sends SMS to verify mobile number!

Which costs 1.5Rs!!

Uninstalled it immediately.

And while registering for UPI - HDFC bank UPI app says - "Unable to process your request"

any reason you are not using PhonePe? i believe you can logout and log back in using a four digit code with no sms verification required again.

never mind. cannot find any specific option to log out.

Dont want one more private company based wallet / payment system.

Would prefer that it works via own bank. Its easier to resolve issue.

If some problem occurs - I just have to contact bank.

Else PhonePe may say contact bank - bank will say contact phonepe
