Upload Speed Limited in AX53/Archer A6 w/ XZ000-G3 V2

Hello,

So, some months ago when I tried 300 Mbps plan and then 500 Mbps plan, I noticed how slow and unreliable the upload speed were. However, at those times, I was using Archer A6 V3 and AX53, and I just thought, maybe Jio sucks with their upload speed where I live. Now, even with 1 Gbps plan, the upload speed was going 300-450Mbps on web browsers and CLI. Their native app could use the full speed though.

So, today when I tried the JioFiber ONT again, I found that I am getting full upload speed even on browsers. So, I wonder what's the issue?

Could these settings on the ONT have any impact?

Or could there be any settings on my router which is causing issues?

I cannot change most settings on the ONT, since it is not "unlocked". So, I don't have much options.

I remember facing similar upload issue while using G3 v2 in Airtel 1G connection. It was fine with other ONTs whichever i tried.

Sadly, V1 was not available when I was buying it.

@hariselio I am confused though. Why it is fine on Speed Test app, but not on browsers?

I dont know the exact reason... It was like year before or so, during those static IP glitch from airtel. In G3 v2, the upload speed was always around 500-600mbps. But in other ONTs( Huawei, dasan and ODI SFP) that was not an issue. I never tested in the speed test app, it was always through browser.

I still have G3 v2, but i no longer use and no longer have 1Gbps connection

I'm having a similar issue with G3 v1 and Archer AX10 on JioFiber.
Upload speed is just half of DL.
I'm on 300 Mbps plan and upload never goes above 250 Mbps.
Did you find any solution?

@dcosmopolitan It is alright until about 500 Mbps plan, and works fine until 300 Mbps plan. Only having issues in 1Gbps plan.

BTW, try doing a speed test in Speed Test app on your PC and see if you get full speed.

I'm on 300 Mbps plan and have tried with Speedtest app as well by directly connecting to G3 v1 via LAN.

The download speed is easily crossing 300 Mbps mark but upload is somehow not going beyond 250 Mbps.

It doesn't bother much except the fact that JFHG is giving full 300 Mbps DL/UL.

Which plan are you on and how much speed you getting?

@dcosmopolitan I am on 300Mbps plan right now and it gives 305Mbps/325Mbps on Jio server. It was around 350-500Mbps in upload with 1Gbps, except their desktop app, where I was getting full speed. So, I don't think we are having the same issue.

I have few questions regarding your setup:
1. Are you using CAT5E or CAT6 cable between G3 and your router?
2. Did you change anything in OMCI settings apart from SN, if yes could you please share the config on onu_sn.htm page?
3. Where are you configuring VLAN, can you share the screenshot where VLAN is configured?
