oh well i have not seen anyone here getting 2mbps uploads on the 2mbps plan. airtel usually gives between 512kbps to 1mbps to users on 1-2 mbps. i am on 1mbps plan. i sometimes get 512kbps. sometimes i get 1mbps uploads. airtel has not specified a promised upload speeds on their connections. uploads are usually provided at a slower speeds compared to download speeds by almost every ISP out there. so there is little you can do about it.

I guess that's why it's called A (Asymmetric) DSL routers. Sweden, for instance, has certain ISPs who give DSL routers: 10 mbps download as well as the upload.

Also, 1 Mbps is the most common or should I say feasible upload speed on ADSL2.

And how much effort does it take for an ISP to say this fact on their website? They just don't care about keeping the customer informed - this attitude should change.

indian service providers have never mentioned the upload speeds on their websites. they all talk about fast downloads... so it's not specific to airtel or any other service provider.

Atleast Tata Indicom has always mentioned its upload speed on their website. They provide max. 512 kbps of updload for their 1/2/4 mbps plans. For plans less than 1mbps they provide lower upload speeds.

Till now Airtel upload speed has been fixed @ 512kbps irrespective of the planbut today im getting upload speed of 1mbps im in turbo 1299 planim not sure its only during night or even in daytime toohave to check tomorrow morningdid anyone get 1mbps upload speed

^ I have been getting 600 kbps day and 950 kbps night ever since I took the Turbo plan. Upload and download both.
