MTNL TriB200 :: 2048/512
I have installed USB drivers on my laptop
I have A Bridged Connection via LAN on my Desktop.

Desktop is connected and surfing the internet at default 2048/512.
hence connection is proper

Laptop is connected via MSHOME and i can surf SharedMusic/SharedDocuments/ from laptop to desktop and vice versa.
Hence its a network with UT300R2U as Hub
Laptop---USB--->UT300R2U

Yes its quite possible to share it using the ut304r2 modemno issues just make sure you allow for sharing on both comps

1.Connecting to internet independently
using USBPort to Laptop ( 192.168.1.2)
and Lan port to Desktop.(192.168.1.1)

(a)Enable DHCP in modem.
(b) IN TCP/IP select obtain IP address automatically.
2.
Sharing files and folders .
Enable in each computer.
.

Thanks esbee
That REF link was great!

First enabled DHCP, and it assinged the following
then UT300R2U became 192.168.1.1
desktop became 192.168.1.2
laptop became 192.168.1.3

I can ping 192.168.1.1 and 192.168.1.2 and 127.0.0.1 from the laptop;
I can also access the shared folders across the desktop and Laptop

Tried Network setup Wizard
tried setting up a Home network

But can only surf on desktop
Not the laptop :(

Any links to articles where similar setups have been done with
other model routers.....1 USB & 1 LAN???

The UT304R2u has multiple RJ45, so that would have been better i guess :frown:

was not aware that this model has 4 lan ports.
better to use LAN instead of USB port if any.

Yeah but I'm one of the older users of Triband.
And when i got my connection UTstar300r2U was all they had.
Some older connections than me got the D-Link router

now the only way to get the 304R2U is to get multiplay;
or else scrap ur MTNL modem and get a free replacement :(

Problem : Modem UT300R2U. ( Old model ?)
But can only surf on desktop
Not the laptop

It is possible to surf Internet same time with both Desktop and Laptop
.Why not try changing USB port for Desktop and LAN port for Laptop?
could be some problem with USB drivers for laptop.

Also post ipconfig/all data. ( could be some IP conflict)
IP address for USB mode normally 192.168.1.2

Confirm your UT300R2U is similar or older model.
