Very slow speeds in torrents

Hello all!I got MTNL TriBand 849NU since last month but i am unable to get speeds in torrent applications, i am getting just about 12 - 15 kBps download speed :madness:I tried port forwarding too, is there is anything else i have to do? Please help me out, i am really pissed off! :wall:My router is Starcom UT300R2U, please help me guys.
 
Are u on a Bridged Connection or still PPPOE?Bridging is 100% better than Port fwding on PPPoEIncrease In speeds guranteed

Pls can someone tell me exactly in simple words what is bridge mode and raspppoe? i have no idea about them since i am also newbie
 
does it happen to all torrents or the one you downlaoding now...speeds vary for torrents depending upon the sharers and their speed ...if thats not the case you need to call cc
 
Yeah, first try downloading a very active torrent, like an Ubuntu torrent, or any other Linux distro torrent to check if the problem is related to lack of seeds. Also, seed to peer ratio is an imprtant factor that determines your speed. For example, if a torrent has 250 seeds and 4000 leechers, it is most likely that you'll get a low speed. While if you have a torrent with 250 seeds and 50 leechers, chances are that you'll get good speeds.

If the problem is not of seeds, I'll try my best to help you out. I have the same router as you, and I have struggled with utorrent more than you can imagine.
