To start off, my local cable dude screwed up big time last Monday, i.e., 15/02/2010..24 hrs later there was still no transmission and the technicians still had no clue..so I decided to go for Airtel DTH despite the -ve reviews (Been a Airtel BBand user for a long time and they have been outstanding till date)..After booking Airtel DTH, i was happy, very happy..36 hrs later, i was sad, very sad..no SMS or calls frm Airtel..No customer ID..nothing...I realized that this is gonna be a screw-up act fr sure (they sms'd after 72 hrs saying that my account has been recharged with rs. 1750 
I had taken a refund by then) So i went ahead and booked D2h (Diamond Pack)...they sms'd within 1 hr stating the Customer ID, and the date and time slot by when they'd be there..After putting some pressure on the guy who sold me the STB, they installed D2h within 48 hrs of booking...I was happy, very happy..36 hrs later, i was sad, very sad..the volume keys on my STB remote (Volume up/down and mute) stopped working..I registered a complaint with them immediately..within the next 16 hrs, i recvd a call frm 'em telling me how to solve the problem..wow..prompt service..now i am happy, very happy!!Some general views about D2H: 1. there are some brightness issues with their picture..you can adjust ur TV settings to alleviate your woes..does help2. Their engineers know a lot but thats not the case with the customer care reps..I spoke to 2 of em about my remote control issue..Both said try changing your battery :wall: Even after telling 'em the other keys are working fine, they advise the same thingy...duh!!!So, whats my verdict on D2h? go for it..for rs. 275 (incl of all taxes), you are getting all channels..no need to top-up anything once your free period (3 months) is over..if you buy a videocon satellite LCD, the free period is 6 months..so mk your choice accordingly..!!
