I knew u would have posted this, if u had got ur kit installed.

I am also not able to record since yesterday evening.

The problem is - THEY ARE UPDATING THE SOFTWARE STILL, TO DOUBLE THE RECORDING CAPABILITY. So, Keep ur STB "On" for 1-2 days......

What do u mean by that?r they able to double the recording time with just sw upgrade(with same recording quality as earlier),without any hardware upgradation?pls clarify that?

Hope its not a compression. If that's a case, you'll surely loose quality of the recorded content.

Dont know about that. But the CC guy told this to me. And when the update was about to start, it mentioned this message - "We are enhancing the recording capacity"....

And, for nishanth.....

Did u check the Firmware version of your STB?? If the "Download ID" is 16, then it is the latest one. then it doesnt need upgrade.

Mine has been updated but still the recording functionality is inactive. I have registered with the CC & also called up the Local engineer who had come recently at my place.....lets see, who comes first!!

I think it would be a misquote from the CC guy. It would have been "We are enhancing the recording QUALITY"...

I have the normal STB, not the DVR one :ashamed:. So the version number will be different....

I didn't try yet today. That was the case atleast yesterday night. From my online account I now see the PVR service is active. So may be have to wait until it is resolved.
Also wanted to let you know that - I was trying to charge Rs.500/- yesterday since I've only booked from D2hOnline and paid nothing else. Only after recharging for Rs.500/- I realised my account already has money equivalent to 1 month South Platinum HD. So essentially I think, the 1 month South Platinum HD is also included with the revised price as well.

Meanwhile what's about the 3D launched. Is that the same HD DVR we posess is capable of this? Any idea. (I don't have 3D TV yet, so not an immediate worry!).

Your 3rd post seems to have come on time.....actually the thing is, just recently we had a spammer doing rounds. SO, admin must have increased some security checks - c'mon onceu get established u will understand the importance of it!!

As regards the output, yes the Output is HDMI. As also there's 1 SPDIF port (Dont exactly remember where to put the slash "/"), which foes directly to a speaker if u want to connect ur speaker directly to the Speaker system.

Btw, if u want to see the rear of it - the slots given and all, then check this link - only the looks are slightly modified, else it is this product only....

I checked with my receiver and all HD channels thru HDMI are transmitting only Stereo Audio. I am yet to try with the CoAxial Audio out (S/PDIF).

@ rams....I forgot to mention u 1 thing.......u said that the Audio is still stereo - theres a reason. U need to go to the Setup Menu of DVR & in that Box settings or so, u will have the option to change Audio settings from "Stereo" to "Home Theatre".....@ Dth@FreakWill let u know after sometime....may be at night!! (Late night)
