Its Serial Number or Smart Card Number ??I tried with 4th, 6th, 8th and 10th digit of my 11 digit Smart Card, but it didn't worked .
U will be asked to enter codes twice......
When it comes first time, just enter the NUMBERS 1234.
When the second time it asks, u enter these........ 4th, 6th, 8th & 10th DIGIT of ur 11 digit Serial number on STB.
Ab aaya na dost line pe. Yehi baat to mene already bataithi tab tumane nahi ki.

I didnt know that u were looking for HD stb not for DVR. I have good option for HD stb but leave it now. That was Reliance HD stb which gives 250 HD like quality channels. It only for HD stb not for dvr. ok

Actually I was thought that Reliance gives HD Ready to both HD box & DVR but I was wrong. Amit_dp advice me that it only for Reliance HD STB not for DVR & after that I saw Reliance HD STB ad where they mention it only for HD STB at the end of the ad. Thanks to Amit_dp. He & RD ad opened my eyes & a website also.

If think about technical view they are right. If they give facility for DVR of each channel atleast in HD Ready what will happen if each content record in that quality. Will 160 GB memory enough for it? naaaaaaah thats why they not give that technology to DVR. y they dont give options to viewer to record the content in SD quality / HD quality. huh Huh

I never test Reliance HD but if u want to move to RD HD watch demo in a TV shop & then decide / u can continue with D2H.

@ MAX 24....I didnt do that. I just told that to vishnuu the way to go to satellite management, since he wanted to go there. Else i still havent done. I just posted what i had read previously.About Upscaled HD - well it wud be "OK" if they dont charge anything extra for giving u upscaled channels. If they charge, then its totally useless.Earlier D2h aired Zee Upscaled HD, and there didnt appear much difference except for better colours, and a TAD sharper image. Yes but it still looked stretched. And with so many new channels, they have altogether discarded the channel, which didnt add any value.All in all - If they say "We give HD like channels & v charge u so much extra". That shudnt happen. I think Reliance doesnt do that but Dish TV does that.On any day i wud prefer higher no. of True HD channels over HD like channels.
