Vodafone India: Set up internet / GPRS on iphone - it worked

I am getting a missing identifier problem.THe identifier name is nt being mentioned in the list.how do i do that?Does this work only on hacked iPhones or also on locked ones?
 
ok i follwed the procedure and it set up correctly for vodafone portalnmms. but after installing the push fix application for youtube the APN comes up as "unsigned" and gprs is gone.. i am not able to remove the APN using the config utility . now how do i remove this " unsigned " application so that i can install a new APN . pls help i got my iPhone just 3 days ago so go slow on the tech jargons .
 
hi friends!! i m new here..i have an iPhone 3g, i have done this successfully but still not getting edge network on screen and internet is not working.can anyone explain me how to enable edge network??i have one more option of 'VPN' in network setting section, for what it is used?

This is great stuff. However, I am using iPhone 3GS (OS version 3.1.3) and was not able to install the settings. Is this supported in OS 3.1.3?I created the profile. But on clicking the install button, it does nothing
 
Thanks to the OP for this.However I can only connect if I use APN portalnmms. If I change APN to www and remove the proxy, gprs doesnt work. Currently I can only use Safari, Facebook App and eBuddy.If any experienced iPhone/Vodafone users could help in configuring this to get other apps to work (Ping!, Foursquare, Hello Messenger, Nimbuzz) without having to subscribe to Vodafone Mobile Connect would be greatly appreciated.I am using a non Jailbroken 3G running 3.1 and VL58 30mb per day plan.
 
Very helpful instructions !!yes... this indeed worked for me..I was using an iPhone 2G which ran on AT&T in US.. I came to india day before yday and got a vodafone SIM card.. I also got the Rs 95 per month Vodafone Live GPRS plan.. Firstly, I unlocked/jailbroke my phone using redsn0w...Then I followed your instructions using the iPhone config utility... After completing the whole process, i rebooted my phone... And now it works perfectly and I am able to access internet...:thumbsup:

I think you would need to use "redsn0w" or get it unlocked in markets like gaffaar etc in delhi.
