hehe exactly as i guessed. best part is their .com address was also taken over.

Have you heard of My Hutch? If not, you seem to have concentrated on the Pug more.

Not only heard but have been using My Hutch for very long time! :whistle:
What I was referring to was the main website and not "My Hutch" or "My Vodafone".

My Hutch was accessing your Hutch Account from the database of millions of Hutch India customers.

Correction, not from database of all India Customers but from Database of the Hutch circle you belonged to, thats the reason it first asked u to select ur location.

By the way not everyone has website access or Internet access. Hutch is one of the biggest telecom operators in India after Airtel. So they had to get the message out quickly and fast.

Agreed Hutch was big, but why was Vodafone in such a big hurry, it took months for them to finally change the brand name after completing the deal. They could have waited for few more days if the website was not ready.
Also brands initially face rejection, since we have high expectations as customers. I think we ought to behave in a mature manner, by giving them time to clear things out.

Brand do not face rejection, if they are launched in a descent manner, specially if a bigger and more famous brand takes over. Mature manner, expecting a good planned launch from a world famous company, do u think thats acting immature? :wall:

I say this on the basis of downtimes I have experienced whilst trying to pay my bills online. This has been a minor problem, not a major one though.
That was seriously a minor intermittent problem, the main website was never down, atleast I never experienced downtime.

So you see that there too, the Hutch branding was excellent, but the website access belonged to prehistoric page.
Hutch website was most beautifully designed website atleast as compared to other telecom operators of india.

You wanna see, what Vodafone can deliver? Its one of the biggest ever operators in the world.

I know very well what Vodafone is and what is its Reputation in the world.

Wow... will fanboy-ism ever die? Can we not be totally ridiculous here and argue on and on about Hutch vs. Vodafone?It's undoubtedly unprofessional and sloppy of Vodafone to not have its site ready in time for its ad campaign. However, this doesn't mean it's a bad company or is going to give bad service. It doesn't even mean that they will have a bad website always. It just means that they need to fire a bunch of morons. (And IMHO half the people working in advertising today deserve the guillotine - especially the ones who make the ads for Pepsi, Yamaha etc.)So let's just quit this bickering and limit this thread to a pertinent discussion on how Hutch is going to change under the Vodafone banner.Thank You. Vote for me.

However, this doesn't mean it's a bad company or is going to give bad service.

many of us truly believe that If Vodafone cant manage the Launch of its International brand name in a decent fashion here in India.............It points to a lack of synergy between the Old Hutch and New Vodafone.:P
Those morons who cant get the website Up and that need to be fired........ may not be able to give better and Cheaper talkplans,Handsets and other freebie offers that the users in one of the worlds largest and fastest growing telecom markets deserve.:yahoo:

This will Undoubtedly cascade into huge misunderstandings and bad judgments which will ultimately affect us;the end User in the long run.:wall:

What if the bad launch will point to bad teamwork at Vodafone
-> the Ruia's have already back stabbed Hutch by applying for Pan India Licenses after the sale
->competition with Morons working for you....not very healthy
->a loss of market share????
->will we go the same way as the Current BPL customers ???????? :O

If the sky turns dark.............we better get back indoors or get out our umbrellas

Our Trivial discussions ...the problems of website etc;
we discuss all this so we can know whats in store for us interms of service at the end of the day:)

Wow my outgoing calls while Roaming is free................ :O

Good welcome joke from Vodafone! :hysterical::yahoo:

And IMHO half the people working in advertising today deserve the guillotine - especially the ones who make the ads for Pepsi, Yamaha etc.
A little part of me dies everytime that Yamaha Alba/Café Coffee Day ad comes on.

@ImraniasYup,I have the same goof up............Roaming calls Rs0.But have u noticed that it still does not mention VF 2 VF calls Rs0.3Or 200Mins Free/Monthor200 SMS Free/Month ???????????

A little part of me dies everytime that Yamaha Alba/Café Coffee Day ad comes on.
The Yamaha Ad is a joke but it has got one hot chick though !! As for the cafe coffee day , i'm struggling to recollect the Ad.

^ It's the same ad - if you look in the background, there are Cafe Coffee Day signs. Sort of surrogate advertising within an advertisement! But as far as the chick being 'hot' goes - yuck! Next time you see the ad, pay attention to her teeth. And btw I bet the woman is really gawaar and that's not her voice.

@skorpio1L What you say would be true if Vodafone/Hutch was a mom & pop store. The people who make the website would in no way be connected to the giving of "better and Cheaper talkplans,Handsets and other freebie offers." These are different departments, and you can't say that since one of them goofs off, the other one will too.
