what cost for device and wire do bsnl take charge from customers for ftth connection?

@shivamw is airtel fiber not yet launched in ranchi?I enquired railwire, they are not giving onu modem for rent plus the installation charge is high too.and all local ISP take too much charge.jio fiber is good but i saw after fup its speed reduces very slow

Well if fiber is not layed in your area then it is 5000, basically LCO is using your money to fund his own infra, I regret this as airtel started here laying fiber just a day after I paid .(they have completed the work in my area, they only need to start activating the connection.)

A few blocks away where LCO has already laid the cable he was charging somewhere between 1500 - 3000.
So I would say hold on, and wait for it until you start seeing orange cables wrapped around poles, it will be way cheaper.

Here is what he costed:
Installation: 2000
ONT : 2500
Plan Activation : 1277

The only thing good about him is great support, always picks up the phone, when my first ont went cray cray he replaced it even in lockdown(con: he promised he will come by 12 PM but came at night by 7 PM), has good contacts with BSNL officials so I never felt the need to escalate stuff to NIB or etc..
--> Only this is stopping me from moving to Airtel, a reliable and proactive support

i have D-Link DIR-605L router.can it be used with my bsnl fiber connection?its 2.4 GHz frequency and my plan which i want is 50 mbps.will i have lower speed due to router?
