What do you use for downloading

for guys downloading off FTPs, where do you get the FTP lists?

Well I was referring to all sorts of FTP downloads, including normal shareware/freeware softwaer downloads, operating systems, and such which can be gotten from sites like Tucows, Softpedia, FileForum etc. But if you are looking for something specific on FTP you can use an FTP search like www.filemirrors.com , and search www.google.com intelligently

BTW, anyone know of other good FTP mirror search sites?

I use newsgroups. 29 kb straight zero uploads. retention time of 50 days. so i dont loose any download i choose to get

I generally download in this order :1. Shareaza (connects to Gnutella, G2, ed2k)2. IRC3. Torrents4. eD2K5. Direct HTTP Links6. FTPWanted to try newsgroups... lets c... most of em r paid.... n im happy wit the free alternatives.
