TS or D2h.....with my final verdict for D2h, coz of the Customer service.

Airtel - Better check out its negatives before falling for it.

PS: I am sure Amish would be adding a few inputs here!!

I am using DishTV since they launched > 5 years ago. Am happy with the channels and picture quality and now their HD (so called) bouquet is pretty good. they are fairly priced as well. Their customer service is pretty good in terms of responsiveness. Sometimes you need to scream at them to get work done, but eventually things get done.

Ok Airtel picture quality and service is not bad.. twice i called them.. both times engineer was at my place very next morning. But they mislead customer with their offers. Monthly price wise airtel wud cost, 10-20Rs more per month, I guess. (havent bothered to check in detail as i have 5 months free)But if u check their entry offer, Rs. 1590. which includes installation/STB charges + 4months economy sports pack + 250Rs credit in ur account.Indirectly it means, 1590Rs.. STB/installation and 5 months free.... so entry offer is good.

thanks a lot guys since most ppl have their own favorites i would take it as that all providers are good and will take my decision soon based on what i want. thanks

In general, i will say that all DTH operators are good, but have 1 or the other negative - its upto u, to decide which one u can bear with.Airtel - At times u have to shout out at them to get things done - they do it eventually.Dish TV - Policies are framed to just leech out as much money from GROUP Policies, which are framed in accordance with its head Zee Group, and at times misleading promotions - for eg: 30 HD Channels, 50% of the market share....Reliance - The biggest & the only drawback is CC.Tata Sky - No major ones......but people blame it for being costly - though its just marginal.D2h - At times the Decision makers take pathetic decisions.....very recent fiasco was HD DVR.....they delayed it since September. Then they launched it UNOFFICIALLY in Feb @ almost 7k. And then they reduced it to 4.5k after a month & now they are wondering what to do of the customers, who have already bought at high prices.....However this is countered by really good Customer service - pre sales & post sales - both. So, u have to be ready to face any 1 of these. U have to select the 1 that u can manage.

If ur planning for DVR i personally wont recommend Airtel DVRits like 1080p screen working with Pentium III
