which is best- amd anthlon or intel dual core?

I want to make a new cpu.plz tell me which system is best, amd anthlon ,intel dual core or intel core 2 duo.

I got a new system last week.. and have gone with AMD Phenom.. The performance is very good.. and specially when it comes to Graphics..or 3D rendering.. I would never go with an Asus motherboard.. Gigabyte is better according to me..

get a core 2 duo anyhow.
