Which one to choose? (No, not a girl for marriage, lol)

If we all know that we are all in deep shit together then why someone in some higher position with "authority to take action" are not doing anything against such pathetic service and frauds? I tell you what ---My friend had a problem with BIG TV last week. He recharged his account and shifted from Starter-2 to Starter-3 (higher pack) and guess what? they continued both the packs and all his money deducted in 15-17 days only and his balance got into minus. When he called before recharging they said, "we dont stop the channels even if you go into minus" as he was watching all channels without paying but this time they even suspended his account. When he recharged and called for package, they said - your account has been suspended and now wait for 2-3hrs to get it back to normal and call again so that we can process further. Its a bulshit. Even their CC number is most of the time has a "busy" tone. Its too irretating. Not with just BIG TV but NEVER go with any of ANIL AMBANI's services/ventures. They are all pathetic.

the same thing happened to me they had 2 packs running i.e on oct 16 i choosed starter pack1 but on nov 2 i rechaged for rs500 total balance was 566 (after subtracting Rs100 for starter pack1),i told them i wanted to change to south starter pack(Rs175) ,the cc rep told its not possible, i said why not ask ur supervisor ,then after a few min on hold he said its possible and he changed it,i also added 2 top up packs for Rs50 he immidiatly did that as well ,but on nov 16 when i asked for the balance they said i had only 240(but my balance should have been 341),i said how is that possible to which the CC rep said i had stater pack1 and south starter running ,i said how is that possible he said "sir u should have cancelled the starter pack 1"which i had done while i choosed the south starter,he continued too stand is ground and then i went :@,he then tried to pass it on it his supervisor,after some 30min of waiting they hung up,so i called directly to bangalore CC managers mobile i said him what had happened and he said he will look into it on monday since it was the weekend he wasnt in office,at the same time i gave a complaint to core.nic.in and left the matter there and forget about it when 26/11 took place.
but on jan 24th got a sms message saying u have a negative balance of Rs241,called the CC and asked them the account statements and package statement,they had been running starter pack 1 for a good 2 months and only cancelled it on dec 31 and i told them why wasnt it cancelled and they said "u should have called and cancelled it ",i said i had cancelled it the day i took south starter ,he put me on hold for 20min plus and hung up,this happend 10 times in a single day,the sad part is i had to explain the issue each time i call,but on the 11th call the CC said again "sir u should call and canceled the starter pack1" , i said okay fine going by ur way,in that case why did big tv cancel it on dec 31 when if u think i had not cancelled it.he had no reply,put me on hold and hing up,i then called bangalore big tv CC manager and told him the issue and i said him if its not solved i going to take legal action,after 2 days they finaly resolved the issue.
so for those of u who still want to go for big tv think again.trust me even though big tv might have a slight edge in video quality its not worth it not to mention the STB related problems.

and my complaint to core.nic.in is still pending the last email i got was my compaint attached which is the same above said problem and the stb issues along with the below messageHi,

I want to purchase DTH service but i am really confused :confused: so can you please suggest me your ideas..

1. Is this the best time to purchase DTH?
2. Are there any offers or should i wait for a festival or something?
3. What is the quality of after sales service?
4. Which company offers the best prices(I mean the cheapest, lol)????

Reliance, sky, airtel and sun users can you give me some valuable feedback to help me choose the best.

If you want to go for a DTH then i suggest go for dishtv, More value for money, Economical packages, and with their maxi pack or platinum pack you can get almost all the channels.

Also having lots of ala-carte option to choose from as per your choice of channels.

Right know recharge free offer is also going on where you can availa same amount of benefit with the amount you recharge from the following denomination like 200, 500, 700 and 1800.

No problem of hardware and software.
 
from someone who has just ditched zee dish tv. stay away from it. it sucks.

So, you migrated to Airtel Digital TV?

Me still with DishTV. It's working fine as of now! :p
 
i moved to airtel iptv. try checking how they bill your services if you have a child connection along with the parent connection... their statements are a complete mess. the customer support is full of idiots. practically worthless.

It is so disheartening to know that you had been cheated this way. Its not just reliance or tata or airtel but every one of those corporates is corrupt. I had a vodafone post paid for two months and even when i cancelled i continously recieve bill payment mails.
If you belong to middle class, like me then NEVER EVER THINK ABOUT GOING FOR ANY CORPORATE COMPANIES. FIRST THEY WILL STRIPE YOU OF ALL THE MONEY AND THEN THEY WILL RAISE HANDS AND SAY "IT WAS NOT ME!". THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR ALERTING ME. I have cable connection right now but due to some disagreements i wanted it out, i believe "its better to make peace with the cable guy, rather than suffering with Tata Sky! (Holy cow, it even rhymes)". :redface:
 
if only the cable guy mends his ways, no dth company would be able to gain any customers.sadly... after 2 years on dth, when i tried the cable guy for 2 months... those two months were still the same painful like they used to be before dth became popular.they just dont get it!for a period of 40 days that i had cable, i got decent reception for hardly 10. rest of the days i kept waiting for him to arrive to check the same problem that existed from day one.

True, but at the end of the day atleast these cable people can be talked with but customer care departments of companies are a tragedy. There is no set of protocols in business ethics for them which is why they are abusing power. The cable guy will atleast acknowledge the fact that we are facing problems and may take necessary steps. Even if you dont recieve quality signal, atleast you've got a tv which runs at the end of the day! They'll not disconnect the service without intimation unlike corporates. :eek:
