My friend who works in BPO used to leave his PC ON overnight for downloading torrents. Recently he invested a lot on his new PC & he dont want to spoil the fun in a short period. I hope he would be benefited if he uses the Asus RT-N13U. As he is having no other wifi products other than his desktop PC, is their any similar product available for less price.

This product looks absolute value for money as I guess we can download torrents on it while our PC is turned off, can I use my 8GB USB Flash Drive as an HDD?. But, since Reliance is providing CPE at no additional cost, what's the point of an additional DSL router? Is there any difference between DSL and ADSL?

Samm you are correct there is no point of buying the ADSL version of the same, if there is a version of this router without the ADSL modem just the WiFi version it is a better buy

Guys I was assuming that the router model was Asus RT-N13U Wireless-N Router (this is the one without the ADSL modem just the WiFi router) it is best to buy just the WiFi model do not go with the ADSL modem as reliance already provides you with a ADSL modem you can configure the ASUS ADSL wifi router model that was mentioned earlier to work with reliance but that is a bit complicated as you need to configure the VPI / VCI values these are some extra steps, its best to buy the plain vanilla model of the WiFi router and leave the modem functionality to the modem provided with the reliance router.

Here is the Amazon link for your reference Amazon.com: ASUS RT-N13U Wireless-N Router, Access Point, and Repeater: Electronics

The imp thing is that the WiFi router that you choose should have a ethernet WAN port apart from the 4 ethernet port.

As per the user manual

You were right

its best buy
dats my post na :P

Guys please check my post earlier do not buy that model, you need the one with a WAN port (ethernet jack) not a phone jack port.

Thanks for clearing my doubt :)That's what I was saying if we already have an Adsl router just buy the WiFi router which supports torrent downloading, but is it available in India?
